About V-Karma

At V-Karma, we focus on promoting a healthy and mindful lifestyle through your participation in a combination of plant-based cooking classes, vegan mentorship, and yoga.

"V" is for Vegan and "Karma" means action. Every action you choose to take from the moment you follow your curiosity around plant-based eating could support your efforts for positive change in your body, mind, and overall health.

We welcome you here no matter where you are on your journey. Whether you are just curious, well-advanced or having doubts, we are here to help.

Here you will learn to create delicious and vital foods that support the strength and wellness of you, your community and the entire planet. A vegan diet can make real change in our world. It helps to stop the destruction of our environment and therefore supports the lives of our beloved animals, as well as earth's atmosphere. A plant-based diet is a necessary change if we want our world to thrive. That is why we believe veganism is the future!

At V-Karma our primary value is ahimsa: absolutely no violence towards self or others. We also recognize the energetic nature of everything around us and that intention has a powerful effect on our well-being. Energy is present in the food we eat, the way we chew it and in the hands that prepare it. They say "You are what you eat," so let us help you re-vitalize your spirit by teaching you how to feed your body with loving intention and awareness in energy of all things.

Explore our site to find offerings that resonate with you so that you can experience and enjoy the benefits of plant-based cooking and healthy living with us.

Namaste.

What clients are saying:

Maggie is one of my favorite chefs. Her food is entirely vegan and so tasty. I especially love her tacos with vegan chorizo, gnocchi, massaged kale and oil free veggie Buddha bowls with sweet potatoes.

If you need a yummy plant exclusive food for yourself or an event, Chef Maggie, is who you need. Her desserts are mouth watering and I love that she even makes oil free for great health without sacrificing flavor.

As a Food for Life and Nutrition and Cooking Instructor for PCRM, I know food, and hers is the best.

I had bloodwork done 1/29/2024 and repeated on 4/8/2024. 5 of the 10 weeks, I had Maggie’s Vegan Meals; I was able to lower glucose, A1C, triglycerides, thyroid, and blood pressure. She took the Detox binder that the nutritionist gave me and created this delicious filling menu. Thank you Maggie for all you've done!

Debra Garcia

I have attended three of Maggie's vegan cooking classes, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next one! Each class is a unique experience where we create a whole meal that is nutritious and delicious. I'm not vegan, but Maggie's classes have opened my eyes (and taste buds) to the diversity of foods that vegan cooking encompasses. Maggie's classes are fun, laughter-filled, and relaxing experiences where she teaches us her techniques, and we are the chefs. I have recreated each meal at my own home to rave reviews. I highly recommend that you grab your apron and sign up for one of Maggie's classes. You won't be disappointed!

Maggie creates delicious and nutritious vegan meals.  She is professional, reliable, and works hard to accommodate your needs.  She is well educated, and committed to preparing vegan meals that do no harm.  Maggie catered our first big yoga studio event, and everyone talked about her scrumptious offerings for many weeks after.

What is Vegan?

Follow Vegan Society established in in 1944 by Donald Watson, the definition of veganism

"Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals.”
